I wanted to do an update with you guys on the books I have read so far! I have to admit, I haven’t read as many books this year as I would like, but I am constantly making an effort to do better and make more time for it! This year I am attempting to complete the 2015 Reading Challenge, and I am participating in the Paper and Glam Book Club. So far I’ve found some fun books through these and I’m excited for what I will be reading next!
#GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso
This is a book that I’ve been wanted to read for a really long time. And I am happy to say that I really enjoyed reading it. I love any books that are about someone’s rise to success. Her sense of humor was entertaining, and it was pretty inspiring. I probably wouldn’t read it again, but I was glad to have a reason to finally give it a try! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something entertaining and inspirational.
The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth
I love captivating series like this one (huge Harry Potter, Twilight, and Hunger Games fan over here), so when I heard about it I knew I needed to read them at some point. The first book, I finished so quickly, I honestly couldn’t put it down. The second, took me a little while longer, there were definitely some dry points, where you’re just eager to get to the good stuff. But overall I enjoyed the series! I’m excited to finally be able to watch the movies, I personally do not believe in watching movies made from books until I’ve read the books first.
Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahern
I never even heard of this book or the movie until I joined the Paper and Glam Book Club. I had no idea what it was even about going in, and man was I surprised by what I found. The entire book is literally written in letter, text, or email format, which definitely took getting used to, and at some points it got a little repetitive and boring to read. But, it was a compelling story, and I am definitely going to see that movie too!
What have you been reading lately? Share some suggestions in the comments below! I’m definitely looking for some great reads! Also make sure you head over to my 2015 Reading Challenge Page to see how these books have been counted towards my goal!
