August Goals

I can’t believe its already August. It kind of feels like July just flew by! I spent the month with family, relaxing, and really enjoying my free time before going back to work again. It was pretty great. I was also able to work on my goals that I set for last month which you can check out HERE. Of course some of the goals will continue on into the years, Self Improvement and Being Happy, are goals that I will work on for a long time! But I wanted to give myself a new set of goals to focus on this month as well! Here they are:

+// Diet and Weight Loss.Β This will probably always be on my monthly goals. I am doing really well with healthy eating, and going to the gym. However, I’m at a point right now, where I have the most stubborn area around my mid section (my belly) that just doesn’t seem to want to go away. So I want to really buckle down this month, and figure out a plan that can help me target my problem areas as well as start trying to get into toning up the rest of my body as well. So I am thinking a stricter diet and a more routine workout schedule. I really want to get back into doing Blogilates!

+// Reach for my Goals and Resolutions. So the other day I was looking over the section in my Erin Condren planner where I keep my long term goals, and New Years Resolutions and I realized that I need to seriously get cracking on some of these goals! The year is more than half way over, and some of them have been completely over looked. So I want to really try to focus on that this month, even if it just means making a plan to start working on these things, or just focusing on a few this month. We’ll see!

+// Start getting my Finances in Order.Β I have a lot of goals and dreams, and a lot of them have to either do with finances or won’t be possible without having them in order. So I want to continue to try to save money, and now that I am working again I want to create a budget and really stick to it.

+// Get out there more.Β Now that we have been living in a new city for a month now, I really want to find ways to start getting out there and meeting new people. I have noticed that it isn’t really easy for me to make new friends, and I told myself that this move would be different. I am thinking about signing up for classes, maybe taking up a new hobby, getting involved in my church, and just being as sociable as possible on a daily basis.

+// Focus on ME.Β A lot of things are happening in my life, and I have a lot of hopes and dreams for myself. Dreams that I really want to turn into reality. So this month I want to focus on getting myself closer to those things. I think they are all possible and it will just take some hard work and dedication to make them happen!

So those are my goals for the month of August. I think this is really going to be a great month of moving forward for me. Great things are coming! What are you goals for this month? Share them in the comments below!

  • I looked at my calendar after midnight last night and went “August?!? It’s already August?”. It definitely snuck up on me!
    And I’ve found that as I’ve gotten older it’s been getting harder and harder to make new friends. Luke you, I’m also trying to get more involved my church and hoping that helps. Keep us updated!

    I have the same fitness goal, my tummy is SO friggin stubborn as well! I wish you much luck with the meeting people, seems like as we get older it’s so hard to do πŸ™ Great list, I have to do mine this weekend. Have a good one!

    • Oh man, I have experienced Texas heat and I agree it is no joke!! i hope you are still able to go out and enjoy it!! Maybe a pool or water park? I would love to go to a water park! I haven’t been to one since I was maybe 13?

    Making friends has definitely always been something I struggle with too! I’ve heard good things about meetup.com I’ve tried it myself, but there aren’t really any groups in my area since I live in such a small town. I know cities are full of them though, and they have so many different types of groups – it could be a great way to get out there and meet people πŸ™‚

    And I have to ask…what is blogilates?

    • Blogilates is a youtube/social media network by a young lady named Cassey Ho. She is a pilates instructor who makes awesome videos and work out plans! if you go to blogilates.com you can check it out! I’ve been thinking about trying meetup.com, thanks for the tip, I think I will look into it!! =]

  • My weight and fitness also seems to be one big ongoing goal – not because I’m always wanting to lose more, but because I never quite manage to lose any! Good luck with all your goals, will be interested to see how they go! Also, what is blogilates?! It sounds intriguing!

    • Blogilates is awesome! It was created by Cassey Ho, she has a youtube channel named Blogilates, she is a professional Pilates instructor, and creates awesome workouts on a weekly basis and puts together monthly workout plans for you to follow where every day focuses on a different area of your body! You should check it out! I think if I am able to buckle down and really stick to her calendar this month I will definitely see an improvement in my mid section! her website is blogilates.com.   • You know what they say when you fail to plan, you plan to fail. And you are certainly not planning to fail, way to have set goals for each month; I admire that! These are great goals and I wish you well with them.
